How to Make a Beaded Zip Tie Necklace Tutorial

Who doesn’t love beautiful, colorful necklaces! This project is especially great if you’ve got some extra beads hanging around from your leftover kid’s projects. This project only requires a couple of items, so it’s definitely a must-make if you love making your own bling! Either way, I still think this necklace looks better on the mannequin than me!!  For those of you that still like bloggy tutorials, here’s the overview on how to make it:

YOU’LL NEED:

Colorful Beads (About 500)

Ribbon

Scissors

Thin Nylon Zip Ties

HERE’S HOW:

1. Place 12-13 Beads on a Zip-Tie!

2. You need 36 Beaded Zip-Ties to finish this project, so keep beading!

3. Close a single Zip Tie to make a link.

4. Cut the excess off.

5. Keep adding links to make a chain, being sure to cut off the excess.

The first chain should be 13 links long.

6. Make a second chain of 12 links.

7. Make a third chain of 11 links.

8. Bead two more Zip Ties with 18 beads each.

9. Link the end of the three chains together with the 18-bead ties

10. Cut two pieces of 20″ long ribbon.

11. Tie them to the two large links.

12. Tie the ribbon in a bow, and voila! Beaded Zip Tie necklace!
